Service Description: BeachStratCollectedShorelineData_Delivery_Version1:
Summary
This line feature class contains data updates applied as part of the ESRP grant-funded Beach Strategies project. All data are coincident with the state ShoreZone Shoreline (WDNR 2001). Updated historical shoretype mapping is a significant part of data updates; these data include results from the updated Historical Feeder Bluff Mapping effort by Coastal Geologic Services in 2017 for the Puget Sound Partnership. Description
This dataset includes updated shore armor mapping, updated historical shoretype mapping, updated drift cell mapping and naming, divergence zones, route information, HUC 10 and HUC 12 data, fetch, and erosion potential, all compatible with previous versions via the state ShoreZone Shoreline.
BeachStratNSDRoutes_Delivery_Version1:
Summary
This dataset applies linear referencing to updated net shore-drift cell mapping for the Puget Sound region. These data are part of the Beach Strategies project. Description
Each net shore-drift cell has a unique identifier and internal route measurements for ease of locating features. Areas with No Appreciable Drift (NAD) are not included.
BeachStrat_MarineParcels_Sept2017:
Summary
Building from previous datasets and analyses, this new, comprehensive collection of shoreline parcels throughout the Puget Sound now includes both residential and nonresidential parcels. These data are part of the Beach Strategies project and can be used in combination with other related marine and nearshore datasets to aid restoration prioritization. Description
Parcel attributes contain a summary of several key updated and refined Beach Strategies shoreline datasets, including net shore-drift cells, shoretypes, maximum fetch, maximum erosion potential, total armor length and total armored Feeder Bluff length, and divergence zone presence. Parcels are delivered in their original geometry, though significant changes in geometry were applied to achieve data transfer from the ShoreZone shoreline (WDNR).Parcel polygons were obtained from the Washington Statewide Parcel Database, a project initiated by the University of Washington, College of the Environment (Rogers and Cooke 2012). Their parcel data was acquired in 2008 and 2012; parcels may have changed since then, and parcels in their source datasets may contain errors. Many parcels differ from legal boundaries. Use with caution.Statewide parcel ID is retained in this feature class for use with the Statewide Parcel Database.
